The Challenge
Our client is a global pharmaceutical company with around 9,000 employees and a portfolio of 12 products across three key therapeutic areas. Over time, we have established a strong partnership with the company’s Global Head of Real-World Evidence (RWE). The client approached us with the need for specialized experts in HEOR, Market Access, and RWE, key areas necessary for the commercialization of their products. These roles were vital to the company's growth, especially as they were preparing to bring several products to market. The challenge was clear: without these experts, commercializing these products—six of which have launched during our collaboration—would have been impossible. Five of these products have since gained global licenses.
Our Approach
Our recruitment support focused on finding highly technical experts in HEOR, Market Access, and RWE. These roles were critical to ensuring the company’s success in commercializing its products and expanding its market reach. The positions required candidates with PhD-level qualifications, specialized technical knowledge, and relevant therapeutic experience, which we successfully sourced and qualified for the client.
Working closely with the RWE lead and three global therapeutic leads, we fully understood the client’s requirements, by focusing on key qualifications, such as technical expertise, therapeutic knowledge, and the specific needs of each team, we tailored our recruitment strategy to the client’s culture and operational style. Our ability to meet these precise criteria allowed the client to fill their critical positions with candidates who were not only technically proficient but also aligned with the company’s broader goals.
Results & Outcomes
Over an eight-year period, we have made more than 35 successful placements across multiple functions, including HEOR, Market Access, Pricing, and Epidemiology. Our continued success in these areas has expanded our partnership, allowing us to supply candidates to additional functions such as Regulatory, Clinical, and Engineering. A particular challenge was the need to source local candidates for several affiliate offices. By exposing the client to our extensive network, we provided them with a diverse range of candidate options, giving them choices they hadn’t previously seen.
Our ability to adapt timelines to suit the client's needs, particularly when extended timeframes were required, was instrumental in maintaining candidate engagement and ensuring successful placements. By streamlining communication through a dedicated account manager, we provided consistent quality control and ensured that every candidate delivered met the client’s complex and specific requirements.

According to feedback from multiple stakeholders, we have outperformed other suppliers in this functional area and have become their first point of contact for recruitment needs in HEOR, Market Access, and RWE.
