Position Overview
The Product Manager is responsible for driving marketing strategy, product lifecycle management, and professional education initiatives for cardiology-related product portfolios. This role ensures sustainable business growth through effective planning, cross-functional collaboration, and execution.
The position combines product marketing leadership with professional education program management, including congress participation, workshops, and training for healthcare professionals. The role is based in Tokyo, Japan, with a hybrid working style.
Core Responsibilities
1. Product Marketing

Develop and execute annual marketing plans aligned with business and cardiology portfolio objectives.

Manage the entire product lifecycle—from launch to discontinuation—including positioning, pricing, and messaging.

Conduct market analysis to identify cardiology-related opportunities, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.

Lead product launches and promotional campaigns in collaboration with internal teams.

Partner closely with sales teams to support product adoption and increase market share.

Manage marketing budgets, evaluate ROI, and optimize investment decisions.

Collaborate with regulatory, quality, supply chain, and operations functions to maintain seamless business execution.
2. Professional Education / Training Programs

Plan and execute cardiology-focused education programs for healthcare professionals (workshops, webinars, hands-on training).

Manage congress, symposium, and event participation with internal medical and sales teams.

Develop educational content aligned with product strategies and compliance standards.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and professional societies in the cardiovascular field.

Evaluate program effectiveness and implement continuous improvements.
3. Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration

Collaborate with regional and global marketing teams to align strategies and localize materials.

Work with external agencies for event management, media support, and logistics.

Contribute to capability development and share best practices within the marketing organization.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline.

3–5 years of experience in product marketing or the medical device industry.

Proven success in product strategy, launches, and campaign management.
-
Experience in cardiology or interventional products is a strong advantage.

Experience in professional education or training program management is beneficial.

Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English.
Additional Requirements

Proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel).

Willingness to travel domestically for customer meetings, training programs, and conferences.
