About the Role
This is the first business development hire in the Netherlands and a pivotal role in shaping the company’s commercial expansion. Working closely with the Head of Commercial, you’ll take the lead in engaging Dutch hospitals, initiating pilot collaborations, and establishing scalable commercial processes.
This is a hands-on role with real autonomy, suited to someone excited by early commercial build-out in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment. The role is hybrid, requiring at least 50% of your time onsite in Amsterdam to stay deeply connected with the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage hospitals and healthcare providers to build lasting commercial partnerships
- Lead outbound efforts and manage initial contact with innovation teams, clinicians, and other healthcare stakeholders
- Conduct discovery calls, identify key challenges, and feed insights back to the wider team to improve go-to-market strategy
- Collaborate with product and commercial teams to develop tailored proposals and pilot frameworks
- Maintain and manage an up-to-date sales pipeline using CRM tools
- Represent the company at key conferences, events, and hospital meetings across Europe
- Ensure a smooth handoff from business development to implementation teams post-contract
About You
- 5+ years experience in healthcare business development, partnerships, or innovation sales
- Familiarity with the Dutch healthcare ecosystem, particularly hospital procurement and innovation frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English
- Comfortable working with clinicians, technical experts, and commercial stakeholders
- Self-starter with experience in early-stage or consultative sales environments
- Strong sense of ownership, organisation, and follow-through
