Role Overview

The company is a fortune 500 medical device manufacturer specialized in cutting-edge technology 

This role is responsible for developing a comprehensive clinical and economic evidence strategy to support targeted markets across the Asia-Pacific region for a new market, cutting-edge medical technology. The key objective is to generate accurate, measurable data that demonstrates how the technology enhances patient outcomes while reducing overall healthcare costs on a global scale.

Success in this position requires close collaboration with internal teams—including Clinical Affairs, Global Access, Value and Health Economics, Product Management, Clinical Development Engineering, Medical Affairs, Clinical Marketing, and Commercial—as well as with external experts to design and execute the strategy effectively.

This role plays a critical part in building credible evidence to validate safety and efficacy, support regulatory pathways, integrate clinical and economic insights, assess market dynamics, and ultimately drive successful adoption and reimbursement of innovative healthcare technologies.

Role description

  • Evidence Roadmap: Design, prioritize and execute APAC clinical evidence plans (pre- & post-market) aligned with APAC regulatory and local HTA requirements.
  • Study Leadership: Work with Clinical Affairs to oversee APAC feasibility, pivotal and real-world studies; partner with KOLs and investigators to deliver on time and within budget.
  • Economic value: Develop clinical and health economic evidence (including modeling) that translate clinical outcomes into economic impact.
  • Reimbursement Strategy: Map innovative payment pathways, advise on coding/tariff opportunities, and drive applications for positive funding decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Guide Clinical, Regulatory, Market Access, and Commercial teams on evidence requirements, study progress and payer needs.
  • External Advocacy: Build relationships with KOLs, gov’t agencies, hospital admin, and professional societies to shape evaluation criteria and adoption.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track study milestones, budget, and HTA outcomes; present clear updates to leadership.


Job requirements

  • Develop a deep understanding of how the product features support the user and the patient by achieving better clinical outcomes at a lower cost. Requires deep clinical knowledge but also technical understanding, in addition to the core expertise of clinical Affairs, HEOR, market access etc.
  • Clinical evidence: Partner with internal teams to design, prioritize and execute APAC clinical evidence plans for Ion (pre- & post-market).
  • Economic value: Closely collaborate with the APAC Market Access teams to develop clinical and health economic evidence (including modeling) that translate clinical outcomes into economic impact.
  • Reimbursement Strategy: Collaborate on innovative payment pathways, advise on coding/tariff opportunities, and drive applications for positive funding decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: collaborate with Clinical, Regulatory, Market Access, and Commercial teams on evidence requirements, study progress and payer needs based on key product features & values.

Qualifications

  • Advanced clinical or scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD or MSc in life sciences, health economics, or related field).
  • 5+ years leading clinical evidence and/or market access programs for medical devices in multiple APAC markets.
  • Deep clinical knowledge and technical understanding, with a proven ability to connect product features to patient outcomes and economic benefits.
  • Strong project- and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable juggling several studies and submissions simultaneously.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication in English; proficiency in another major APAC language.
  • Collaborative style with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and external experts.
  • Experience in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with a track record of translating data into actionable plans.
