Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to drive recruitment efforts across Japan. In this role, you will partner closely with managers to attract talent for a wide variety of positions, including scientific, commercial, technical, and corporate roles. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will influence hiring outcomes through strategic insights, creative sourcing, and up‑to‑date recruiting practices.

Responsibilities
Candidate & Hiring Manager Partnership
- Establish strong, trust‑based relationships with hiring managers and candidates to ensure a smooth and positive recruitment journey.
- Communicate clearly, persuasively, and empathetically with stakeholders at all levels.
- Serve as a knowledgeable partner by sharing market intelligence, talent insights, and recruitment best practices.
Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Manage end‑to‑end hiring activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and guiding the offer process.
- Rapidly develop an understanding of job requirements, key competencies, and success factors for each role.
- Maintain exceptional candidate experience throughout all stages of the process.
Sourcing & Market Intelligence
- Design and execute creative, multi‑channel sourcing strategies tailored to each position.
- Leverage deep industry knowledge to identify relevant talent pools and provide competitive insights.
- Apply data-driven approaches to continuously refine sourcing, engagement, and pipeline quality.
- Proactively build and manage strong talent pipelines across assigned business areas.
Strategic & Operational Excellence
- Adapt effectively to shifting priorities and solve challenges with resilience and agility.
- Align recruitment strategies with broader business objectives through forward-looking, strategic thinking.
- Use ATS, CRM, and analytics tools to track requisitions, measure performance, and improve efficiency.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring decisions and sourcing practices.
- Prioritize workload and manage multiple simultaneous requisitions while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
Experience & Skills
- Solid in-house recruiting experience, ideally within life sciences, pharma, biotech, or related industries.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to guide and support stakeholders.
- Proven relationship-building capabilities, focusing on both candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Deep understanding of talent markets, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Creative and proactive sourcing skills with a history of successful direct sourcing.
- High adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Technical & Strategic Competencies
- Strategic mindset with experience aligning recruitment activity to broader business goals.
- Proficiency with ATS, CRM systems, and recruitment analytics tools.
- Ability to use metrics and data insights to support decision-making and process improvement.
